Friend, do you know for sure that you will go to Heaven whenever you die? This is the most important question you will ever face in life, because once you die, there are no second chances and there is no changing your mind.
If you are at all unsure, the Good News is that God has told us explicitly in the Bible that one can know with absolute certainty that he/she will go to Heaven even before they die. In order to be certain though, there are some things that must be explained, understood, and believed from God’s Word.

(#1) We are all sinners.
That includes us, you, and every human being born into this world of two natural parents in all of human history. To sin means to “miss the mark” and offend against God and His commandments. Examples of sin include lying, stealing, coveting, bad thoughts, etc, which we all (if we are honest with ourselves) have been guilty of at different times in our life.
- Romans 3:23 tells us: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
- Ecclesiastes 7:20 tells us: “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”

(#2) If we choose to pay for our own sins, when we die we will be eternally separated from God in a literal hell.
- Romans 6:23 tells us: “For the wages of sin is death…” (ie. eternal separation from God)

(#3) No amount of our “good works” will pay for even one sin.
- Isaiah 64:6 tells us: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

(#4) Because God loves everyone in the world, He sent His only Begotten Son, the sinless Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and pay for ALL of our sins. Jesus took our place and suffered the FULL punishment for all of our sins, and after He was buried, He rose again on the third day.
- Isaiah 53:6 tells us: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us: “For He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
- Luke 24:5-6 tells us: “…, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He (Jesus) is not here, but is risen:”

(#5) God pays for all of our sins, forgives us, and gives us eternal life (ie. going to Heaven) AS A GIFT, the very moment we personally trust / believe that Jesus died on the cross and paid for all of our sins, and that He was buried, and rose again on the third day.
- John 3:16 tells us: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
- Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
- John 6:47 tells us: “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on Me (Jesus) hath everlasting life.”

Friend, right now understanding the imminent danger you are in, will you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour? You can trust in Jesus right now where you are and just as you are. And if you accept the payment Jesus made for you, God will save you forever. He will never lose you as His child, never cast you out, never abandon you – ever. Your home in Heaven is guaranteed.
So if you would like to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, just recognize before God (He knows your thoughts) that you are a sinner and are hopeless to save yourself. Once you do, simply believe / trust (the best you know how) that the Lord Jesus died on the cross and personally paid for all of your sins, and that He was buried, and rose again on the third day. The very moment you do this friend, God will grant you the free gift of everlasting life as He has promised in the Bible and you can be absolutely certain that you are going to Heaven and saved forever.
Remember, if God gives you everlasting life, it lasts forever. Jesus paid for all your sins, so you have no more sins to pay for. There is nothing that will ever keep you out of Heaven.
It costs us nothing, but it cost God everything – His Son.
